Case Study - Entice Technology

Advantage West Midlands

Client Background:

Entice started life as a Birmingham University research enterprise, marketing new route-based weather forecasting technologies to local authorities, airports, rail and highways organisations. The patented technology was subsequently bought by Weather Systems International(WSI), a US owned multinational.

Design Brief:

Amber Graphic Design was initially briefed to help rationalise the corporate branding of this University spin-out company. Subsequently the organisation requested the design of exhibition and event materials incorporating the new corporate identity.

Design Solution:

The corporate brand visually references aspects of the business' activity - the pixelated arrow draws on the digital weather forecasting image technology while the 'cold' hues reference the forecasting of cold weather that the technology is used for. The brand image was further consolidated through its consistent application to exhibition and marketing materials. Amber continues to provide design services to the UK office of WSI.
