Case Study - Advantage West Midlands

Advantage West Midlands

Client Background:

Client Background: Advantage West Midlands is a government funded Regional Development Agency for the West Midlands. It was established in 1999 to bring positive transformation to the region's economy. Advantage West Midlands is involved with around 2,500 region-wide economic development initiatives.

Design Brief:

Amber Graphic Design was asked in 2006 to review the corporate visual communications approach of the organisation, suggesting a reworked identity that could be applied across graphic media. The new identity needed to communicate simply how Advantage West Midlands was making a difference to people in the region.

Design Solution:

The new visual identity was developed - built around striking photographic case studies, of the people who were benefiting from Advantage's work. Amber Graphic Design was involved in art directing the signature photography, and designing a suite of materials demonstrating the new brand direction. The reworked corporate image was launched at their annual conference at Birmingham's International Convention Centre. Key branded applications includes, their annual report brochures, internal communications, exhibition materials and a press advertising campaign. Amber Graphic Design continues to work with Advantage on key corporate projects such as their annual review brochures.
